Oil changing, greasing, tappets, points and brake adjustment. I understand what classic cars need to keep them healthy, and I am more than happy to give your classic its regular check up.
From good MOT standard repairs to letting in new panels and sections for that 'factory' look. Where repair sections are not available, or a whole panel/section doesn't need replacing, I can fabricate the necessary repair. I'm happy to take on full restorations of a shell and/or chassis to the standard the customer wants.
I can rebuild most components, whether its part of a restoration, or just as a separate job. So if its rebuilding king pins, fitting new bearings in a gearbox or stripping and painting an axle, all components are treated as a restoration in there own right.
Basic Component replacement and fault finding. Alternator and 6 to 12v conversions. Unit refurbishment. Bespoke wiring looms made.
I'm not out to run a hot rod shop, but many classic cars can benefit from the odd tweak. Whether its a 5 speed gearbox conversion, an anti roll bar where the factory didn't fit one, or just something simple like fitting better headlights, I can usually find a solution to solve your problem. I am also happy to prepare classics for motor sport, whether it be a bit of weekend sprinting, circuit use, or long distance rallies.
If in doubt, give me a call. As well as classic cars I've worked on and restored old tractors, vans and motorbikes. If its old and has wheels, I may be able to help you.
